Although advances in dentistry have developed fantastic ways of repairing and replacing teeth it is still far better to prevent dental disease from occurring in the first place. If your teeth are kept free from decay and with no fillings they will be much easier to maintain and serve you longer.
Dental disease comes in two main forms, gum disease and tooth decay. The cause of both these is plaque. Plaque is the white sticky substance that forms on the surfaces of the teeth and contains millions of bacteria.
